The West Side Antiquarian Book and Ephemera Fair

The West Side Antiquarian Book and Ephemera Fair (formerly at the Lexington Avenue Armory) has moved for their Fall 2007 production, to the Metropolitan Pavilion, 110 W. 19TH Street in NYC. This quality show features exhibitors from across the US and from England as it continues it's twice a year presentation of high-end antiquarian books, prints, maps and paper ephemera. The show will open Friday night October 19, from 4 PM to 10 PM and on Saturday, October 20, the show will open at 10 AM and run until 4 PM.

There will be something in every category of books, vintage prints, old maps, documents, manuscripts, photography, and ephemera. You will be able to find fine leather bindings, items about architecture, medieval and renaissance manuscript pages, literature, history, travel, first editions, natural history, vintage paperbacks, comic books, children's books and prints, crime, conjuring, Americana, sporting books, classics, decorative bindings, science, technology, autographs, art, erotica, signed books, early printed books, music, film, theater, and much more - all for sale to the public. Admission is $15.00 at the door. The website offers a printable pass for $5.00 off admission price.

This year, the show is sponsored by Swann Galleries, the New York auction house. Swann Galleries features auctions of autographs, books, maps, photographs, posters, prints, drawings and special sales. The gallery has been in NYC since 1941 and is located on East 25 Street just below Park Avenue. Show promoters Bruce Gventer & Creative Director D. Curto have teamed up once again to bring this event to New York City. Curto brings more than thirty years of experience in visual presentation skills with a great eye for detail. Bruce Gventer has almost thirty years experience in the book world. Together they produce high-end affordable shows in New York . Their next event will be in the beginning of April when book collectors and dealers from across the world come to shop and exhibit in the big city.
